Alex & Deepti’s Baltimore Wedding Day at the Peabody Library
Alex and Deepthi’s wedding day in Baltimore was the perfect blend of timeless elegance, warmth, and meaningful cultural tradition. Their celebration took place at the breathtaking George Peabody Library, one of the most iconic and romantic wedding venues in the city. With its towering balconies, golden cast-iron stacks, and soft light spilling through the skylight above, the space feels almost dreamlike — a place where every moment feels elevated and unforgettable.
Deepthi began her wedding morning at the beautiful Ulysses Hotel in Baltimore, which quickly became one of my favorite getting-ready locations in the city. The hotel feels warm, inviting, and full of character — the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable settling in for the morning with your closest friends and family.
The rich textures, moody colors, and vintage-inspired design made such a perfect backdrop for the quiet, emotional moments of the morning. As Deepthi got ready with her loved ones, the atmosphere felt calm and joyful — the kind of space that naturally lends itself to beautiful, intimate photographs before the day begins.
For portraits, we stepped outside into Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, just outside the Peabody Library. The area is filled with beautiful architecture, historic streets, and the iconic Washington Monument that anchors the square. It’s such a romantic place for wedding portraits and gave Alex and Deepthi a moment to breathe and soak in the excitement of the day.
Right across the street sits the stunning Walters Art Museum, and every time I photograph a wedding here I think about how incredible it would be to take a couple there for portraits. The museum’s marble architecture, grand staircases, and elegant columns would make such a timeless backdrop for wedding photographs. I would absolutely love to bring a future couple there for portraits during a Peabody Library wedding day.
From there, everyone made their way to the historic Peabody Library for the ceremony and reception. Often called the “Cathedral of Books,” the venue is one of Baltimore’s most breathtaking spaces. Standing on the marble floor surrounded by five tiers of books and golden railings creates a sense of intimacy even within such a grand space.
Alex and Deepthi’s ceremony felt incredibly heartfelt. Watching their families and friends gather in such a historic setting made the moment feel even more meaningful. The architecture alone tells a story — and it was the perfect place to celebrate the beginning of theirs.
One of my favorite moments from the day was when Deepthi changed from her traditional white wedding dress into a stunning red Indian wedding outfit. The transformation was incredible. The vibrant red fabric, detailed embroidery, and jewelry brought a completely new energy to the evening and honored her cultural heritage in such a beautiful way.
It was such a meaningful moment — a celebration not just of their marriage, but of the traditions and identities that make their story unique.
